ØX is one of those jobs we love to do. It's a project where we can get involved with the idea and work with the client from the very beginning! The intention was clear: a line of high-quality products for men's beard care. We had to give it a name, create its image, and define how it would be communicated. In short, we got to do what we love: create a new brand. Their main products have a special characteristic: they're made from high-quality sandalwood, in a handmade process. That says a lot about the brand. So we decided to go ahead with an image and a name that would reflect that, and at some point link it to Nordic culture, because who knows more about beards than the Vikings, right? That´s how ØX ("Axe" in Norwegian) was born, with a simple and minimalist image, but denoting quality and elegance. The predominance of black conveys comfort and distinction. We wanted to create something different from the "lumberjack" look that was all over the market at the time. With that in mind we built the logo, brand elements, packaging, product presentations, website and social networks.
